Hampshire County championships Results

A great weekend at the hampshire county championships at waterlooville 6/7 march 2010.Although we only had 7 competitors Georgia Graydon 10 Rosie Smith 10 Kieran Allsop 12 all made South East Regional Times.Georgia Graydon 200 freestyle ,200 IM ,200 Breastroke.Rosie Smith 200 freestyle,200 IM ,200 backstroke.Kieran Allsop 200 breastroke.Ben Emery just missed out on his regional time on his 200 breastroke by just over 1 second and Ed Jenkinson missed out on his 200 free regional time by .5 of a second.Well done to all the swimmers and well done to Anna Sikcox who competed in her first championships.

Fund Raising

We are holding an Easter Egg fund raising event on 29^th March 2010 at Fleming Park. Raffle to be drawn at 8pm ‘ish. We would very much appreciate any donations of Easter Eggs for prizes. For further details please speak to Kevin Ratcliffe.

Annual General Meeting (AGM)

This year's AGM is being held on Monday 22nd March 2010 in the Park Suite, Fleming Park at 7.30 pm and will host the introduction and presentation of our Annual Swimmer Awards - details of categories will be announced shortly.

About Eastleigh & Oaklands Swimming Club

Welcome to Eastleigh and Oaklands Swimming Club.

We are a small, friendly and enthusiastic swimming club based at Fleming Park Leisure Centre in Eastleigh but also with training sessions at other local pools in Hampshire. Eastleigh and Oaklands Swimming Club is inclusive to everyone with a range of training squads at all levels offering every swimmer the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

Learn 2 Swim

The Learn to Swim programme has developed in recent years in line with the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS). This is an 'all inclusive programme' taking the non-swimmer from his or her first splash to developing confidence and competence in the water.

Children are accepted from age 3 from complete beginners through to improvers, with fast track entry into the competitive part of Eastleigh and Oaklands Swimming Club for those displaying the potential and enthusiasm to succeed.

All sessions are instructed by ASA qualified teachers.
