Eastleigh and Oaklands Swimming Club, like most other sports clubs, relies heavily upon a dedicated volunteer workforce comprised of swimmers and relatives of swimmers who have a heart to see the club function efficiently for the benefit of all of its members. There are many ways in which you can get involved and make a real difference to the way your club functions, and it makes a rewarding change from just sitting watching every session.  We welcome help from anyone within the club whether you can offer a commitment to a role with defined regular tasks or whether you prefer to help on an occassional basis where needed on a more ad hoc basis.

Note:  EOSC take child welfare seriously and CRB check all volunteers who work with children directly.  You will also be asked to attend a child protection training course if your volunteer role warrants it.

For further information on volunteering, to apply for any of the currently advertised roles, or to suggest other help that you could offer, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Let us know what type of role you are interested in or how you feel you could help. If you prefer to speak to someone direct, please include your telephone number and the best times to contact you. Alternatively, speak to Elaine Bonnon, Dave Summers or any other committee member whenever you see them, either on a Club night or at a Gala.

We are hoping to compile of register of volunteers to help with various tasks so that no one role becomes too time consuming for individuals.  For example we would like to train more people to help with membership enquiries on the Club's 'front' desk at Fleming Park to enable us to extend its opening hours, cover for holidays or sickness and help out at busy times like annual membership renewals.  We are also hoping to divide the role of Secretary into smaller admin tasks and similarly the role of Treasurer into smaller accounting tasks and procedures.

Please help in any way you can, no matter how small - it really will make a tremendous difference.

Thank you.
