We will shortly be enrolling for the new term courses commencing Monday 6th September 2010.

The Learn to Swim programme has developed in recent years in line with the ASA National Plan for Teaching Swimming (NPTS). This is an 'all inclusive programme' taking the non-swimmer from his or her first splash to developing confidence and competence in the water.

Children are accepted from age 3 from complete beginners through to improvers, with fast track entry into the competitive part of Eastleigh and Oaklands Swimming Club for those displaying the potential and enthusiasm to succeed.

All sessions are instructed by ASA qualified teachers.

The learn to swim programme aims to emphasise quality in stroke execution; to establish a situation whereby all children learn how to dive effectively; to have some awareness of other disciplines in which they might participate and to enhance their understanding of the benefits which swimming can add in terms of a healthy lifestyle.
All sessions are instructed by ASA qualified teachers, with lesson assistants from the swimming club who are able to offer support to the teachers and swimmers. Lessons are run with a maximum of 8 swimmers per class.

All sessions take place at Fleming Park Leisure Centre at the following times:

Friday 7.00pm levels 1-6
Friday 7.30pm levels 1-7
Sunday 7.00pm levels 1-6
Sunday 7.30pm levels 1-6
