Eastleigh and Oaklands Swimming Club

We are pleased to announce that we can offer all swimmers from Development Squad upwards more swim sessions than ever before during the Summer at no extra cost. We have teamed up with RATS to share resources and pool time and are pleased to offer the following sessions, all of which are open to members of both Clubs.

* Sunday evenings at Fleming Park operate alternate weeks either 1 hour or 2 hour sessions.

The Summer Timetable commences on Sunday 25th July 2010 from 7.00 to 9.00 pm and runs through to Wednesday 1st September inclusive.

Please note there is no swimming on August Bank Holiday Monday (30th)

Improvers and Junior Development

The last session for Improvers and Junior Development will be Friday 23rd July and the first session back after the summer break will be Friday 3rd September.

Internal closing date for the Littlehampton (26^th September) and James Moreno (17^th October) Open Meets is Friday 16^th July.

All members of Development, Progressive and Club/Junior Club are eligible to enter (but need to be Cat 2 ASA members) and are encouraged to participate.

No late entries will be accepted and all forms must be accompanied by full payment.

Payment and forms to be returned to Catherine Allsop.  Alternatively they can be left at the membership desk or club shop at Fleming Park.

Confirmed costs are :

·         Littlehampton  - £ 4.00 per event plus £ 3.00 admin charge

·         James Moreno- £ 4.50 per event plus £ 3.00 admin charge

SWIMMERS  SIZZLE IN HAMPSHIRE DEVELOPMENT MEET

Over recent weekends 14 swimmers from Eastleigh and Oaklands SC turned out for the annual Hampshire Development BAGCAT meet in Waterlooville.   As temperatures outside the pool soured to over 28 degrees the hot temperature inside the pool did not prevent some fabulous swims from the Eastleigh swimmers.

We are pleased to offer a temporary training session on Tuesday evenings at Red Lodge Community Pool between 8.00 and 9.00 pm whilst Kings Pool is closed for maintenance and refurbishment.

This session will hopefully run on the following Tuesdays - 29th June, 13th and 20th July after which the Summer Training Timetable will be in operation.

The work at Kings Pool should be completed by the end of the Summer break and our first session back there is schedule for Tuesday 7th September.
