Joining the Club
New applicants who can already swim are invited to attend a trial swim, which is usually held on the first Sunday evening of the month. This must be arranged in advance with one of the coaches or committee members. If the applicant wishes to join the club the applicant will be advised of the relevant squad he/she will be allocated to. This is dependent upon age and ability.
If there is no water space available, we have a waiting list.
On joining the club you will have to complete the membership form, sign the club code of conduct and return these with full payment to the front desk at Fleming Park. No membership application will be processed without the full remittance. All fees are itemised on the club notice board and on the website.
Please note that due to strict ASA regulations some medications prescribed to the child such as asthma medication (salbutamol and/or beclomethasone dipropionate - usually blue or brown coloured inhalers) does mean the club needs to be informed so that it can be registered with the ASA before they can take part in any competition. It is also very important that the club is aware of any swimmer who has a medical condition. This should be declared at the time of becoming a member or as soon after the illness has been diagnosed if already a member.
